This is not to knock those covers, many of which are quite good, but to say I had never seen a m/m cover that looked like that. Most of the m/m and otherwise queer fiction I read is self-published or put out by small presses, the covers a mix of Photoshop and stock models. The Soldier’s Scoundrel jumped right out at me.
